Our Researchers have discovered stone construction used to make paper at the ancient city ruin called Tsantyin Ders, Orkhon sum of Selenge aimag of Mongolia.
The ruins of the Tsankhi Ders are related to the Mongol Empire ( the first half of the XIII-XIY century ) and it is interesting to find out that they mulled straw by stone mill and made paper.
We think that these findings are unique as it is found for the first time in Mongolia.
Thus, Mongolian nomads have discovered findings of paper making technology belonging to 700 years ago which creates a new page in the Mongolian cultural history.
Currently two paper mills have been discovered in Tsantyin Ders and research is still ongoing.
